2010 NFL Season [Archive]

February 7 - Despite a surprising early exit from the playoffs, the New England Patriots are the 2010 Rogers Poll champions as a result of their league best 14-3 record and dominating regular season performance. This marks the second straight season that the Super Bowl champion and the Rogers Poll champion were not the same.
The #2 Pittsburgh Steelers (14-5) were AFC Champions, falling just short in Super Bowl XLV, 31-25, to the #3 Green Bay Packers (14-6). The Packers were the sixth seed in the NFC playoffs, but managed to win three straight road games to claim the NFC title prior to downing the Steelers to claim the Vince Lombardi trophy.
The league's top quartile is rounded out by the #4 Falcons (13-4), #5 Ravens (13-5), #6 Jets (13-6), #7 Bears (12-6), and #8 Saints (11-6).
