NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS)

December 11 - The LSU Tigers (13-0) and Oklahoma State Cowboys (11-1) are #1 and #2, respectively, in both the Rogers Poll and BCS-compliant Rogers Poll rankings. The Tigers routed Georgia in the SEC Championship game while Oklahoma State dominated in-state rival Oklahoma as each made their statement for the BCS Championship game.
#3 Boise State (11-1) won their third straight to close out the regular season after a 1-point loss to TCU cost them their perfect season. Boise is #4 in the BCS-compliant rankings behind Alabama.
#4 Alabama (11-1) slipped up only once, in overtime, to #1 LSU. However, Alabama's resume of wins is not quite as impressive as Oklahoma State's. Both still have solid cases for the title game. #5 Stanford (11-1), despite missing out on the conference title game, ranks as the top team in the Pac-12 conference.
Rounding out the top ten in the rankings are Michigan (10-2), USC (10-2), Oregon (11-2), Houston (12-1), and Oklahoma (9-3).
The final rankings of the season will be released after the BCS National Championship game.
