April 5 - The Kansas Jayhawks (35-3) win their second straight Rogers Poll championship despite another early exit in the NCAA tournament (Elite Eight). Top overall seed in the NCAA tournament, Ohio State (34-3), follows. NCAA champion, Connecticut (32-9), finishes eighth.

Final Four participants who fell just short of playing for the NCAA championship were #9 Kentucky (29-9) and #38 VCU (28-12). #3 San Diego State (34-3), #4 Duke (32-5), #5 BYU (32-5), #6 Pittsburgh (28-6), #7 Utah State (30-4), and #10 Florida (29-8) round out the top ten.

The remainder of the top 25 are: North Carolina, Texas, Notre Dame, Arizona, Purdue, Syracuse, George Mason, Old Dominion, Belmont, Wisconsin, Richmond, Wichita State, Louisville, Temple, and Butler.
